Things to consider while you are going through a series of Structural Integration:
* Wear underwear you are comfortable being seen in to your sessions.
* Get a bit more protein in your diet while going through the series.
* Drink lots of water after your sessions.
* Be prepared to feel like you are in transition.
* After an initial series of Structural Integration, it’s best to wait a number of months before receiving any more of this kind of work— try a movement class instead.

Hi Bevin,
My doctor wants me to have the adhesions in my neck and upper back broken up and hopefully not return. As such I am not interested in the 10 sessions (I already did that anyhow) but would probably need 3 or 4 sessions just on my upper back. Are you willing to just work on one area?
Thank you
Barbara Wright
Hi Barbara, as you have already had the series, you are all set to receive whatever work your body might need without having to go through a whole process. That said, it’s unlikely that the adhesions in your neck and upper back are isolated from the way the rest of your body supports them. I would probably approach your issue by trying to get the local stuff to let go, and then making sure that your hips and legs are ready to support your neck and upper back in that new, less bunched-up way. It depends, of course, on how your body responds and what you really need, which I can only truly assess in my office. Hope that helps, Bevin
